For over 50 years, Standardized Patients (SPs) have revolutionized medical education, providing learners with realistic environments to practice vital clinical skills. The University of Arizona was among the first institutions to integrate SPs into its medical curriculum, setting a benchmark for experiential learning in healthcare education.
Today, the University of Arizona Health Sciences continues this tradition through the Interprofessional Clinical & Professional Skills Center (ICaPS). ICaPS offers cutting-edge simulated learning experiences across disciplines, including Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Veterinary Medicine, and Pharmacy. By fostering interdisciplinary training, ICaPS bridges the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world patient care, preparing students to become confident, compassionate professionals.
